Terms of Use

Version 2.0, effective August 28, 2026. These Terms of Use replace the version dated June 20, 2024.

This website, located at home.sentryroad.com and its subdomains (the "Site"), is operated by Tormey Learning Solutions, Inc., doing business as Sentry Road ("Sentry Road," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Scope

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the public-facing Site, including its pages, content, downloadable resources, and web forms. They do not govern use of the Sentry Road learning platform or any training courses, licenses, or services purchased from Sentry Road. Those are governed by the Sentry Road Terms and Conditions and the applicable Order Form. If there is a conflict between these Terms of Use and the Terms and Conditions with respect to purchased services, the Terms and Conditions control.

2. Eligibility and Permitted Use

The Site is intended for use by businesses and by individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Use. Sentry Road grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and, where the Site expressly permits, download content from the Site for your internal business or personal informational use.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Site or its content, except as expressly permitted by these Terms of Use;
  • use any automated means, including bots, scrapers, or crawlers, to access the Site or collect content or data from it, other than search engines operating in compliance with our robots.txt file;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, any related system or network, or any account, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site;
  • introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code, or interfere with the proper working of the Site;
  • submit false, misleading, or unlawful information through any Site form;
  • impersonate Sentry Road, its personnel, or any other person or entity; or
  • use the Site in any manner that violates applicable law or infringes the rights of any third party.

4. Intellectual Property

The Site and all of its content, including text, graphics, logos, images, video, course descriptions, downloadable materials, page design, and underlying code, are owned by Sentry Road or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. "Sentry Road" and the Sentry Road logo are trademarks of Tormey Learning Solutions, Inc. All other trademarks appearing on the Site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Nothing on the Site grants you any right, title, or interest in Sentry Road's intellectual property except the limited license in Section 2.

5. Site Forms and Communications

The Site includes forms through which you may request information, a demo, or a quote, or subscribe to communications. By submitting a form, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it. You consent to Sentry Road contacting you by email or telephone in response to your request and, where you have opted in, to sending you marketing communications, from which you may unsubscribe at any time. Information you submit is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Technology and Security

The Sentry Road platform is built on Moodle, an established open-source learning management system, and is hosted in a managed environment with industry-standard security controls including encryption in transit, multi-factor authentication for administrative access, and continuous malware and vulnerability scanning.

7. Third-Party Links and Content

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, resources, or services, including regulatory agencies, industry associations, and integration partners. These links are provided for convenience only. Sentry Road does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party site, and your use of any third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site's terms.

8. Accuracy of Information; No Professional Advice

Content on the Site is provided for general informational purposes only. It may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors, and Sentry Road may change, update, or remove content at any time without notice. Sentry Road does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, currency, or usefulness of any content on the Site, and any reliance on it is at your own risk.

References on the Site to OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, or other regulatory requirements are summaries and are not legal, regulatory, or safety advice. Sentry Road is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. You are solely responsible for determining the training and compliance requirements that apply to your operations and for ensuring that your safety programs satisfy applicable law.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SENTRY ROAD DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SENTRY ROAD, ITS AFFILIATES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF USE, DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR THE COST OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL SENTRY ROAD'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS OF USE EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500). THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OR BASIS OF THE CLAIM, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE, AND INCLUDING CLAIMS ARISING FROM ANY FAILURE OF PERFORMANCE, ERROR, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, DEFECT, DELAY IN OPERATION, COMPUTER VIRUS, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sentry Road and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms of Use, your use of the Site, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

12. Suspension and Termination

Sentry Road may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any conduct that Sentry Road believes violates these Terms of Use or is harmful to Sentry Road, other users, or third parties. Sections 4 and 8 through 15 survive any termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

Sentry Road may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. The current version, identified by version number and effective date, is published on this page. Revisions take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Site after a revision is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Prior versions are available on request.

14. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms of Use or the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts. EACH PARTY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY IN ANY SUCH DISPUTE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

15. General

These Terms of Use, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sentry Road regarding use of the Site. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Sentry Road's failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later. You may not assign these Terms of Use; Sentry Road may assign them without restriction. Section headings are for convenience only.
